About us...

Our Organisation

1st Hednesford Scout Group is a registered charily that was founded in 1908 by Thomas Patchett. We serve the area of Hednesford and the surrounds areas and it's local families, and community organisations and charities.

We meet at our Scout Hub located in Huntington on Stafford Road. We recently moved here from our previous home at Mavis Road, where we'd been located for many years!

Our central location makes it easier for young people and their families to get to us within Hednesford, Huntington and surrounding areas.

Scouting is a recognised charity for both boys and girls aged from 4 to 25. At Hednesford we have 1 Squirrel Dray, 2 Beaver Colonies, 2 Cub Packs, 2 Scout Troops and an Explorer ESU satellite from Cannock Chase District Scouts. All sections meet weekly at our HQ, sometimes through half terms at different times throughout the week. Please see section pages for more information.

We frequently hold other events such as Camps, Hikes Trips, Visits, Activity Days and Sleepovers for all of our sections throughout the year. We're here to provide young people from Hednesford and the surrounding area with Fun & Adventure, if you're interested in your child joining us please contact us through our Website or Social Media platforms.
